My position description

At The Charleston Conference, some interest was expressed in the details of my position description. I'm posting it here in case anyone is curious.

LEO is our library catalog, Periodical Locator is our journal finder, Article Linker is our link resolver, and R2 is our e-database listing. MultiSearch is our federated search.

Position Title: Content Interfaces Coordinator

Lead initiatives to improve user access to collections including LEO, Periodical Locator, Article Linker, R2, as well as tools that pull content out to other environments such as MultiSearch and Blackboard integration. Lead web projects that focus on access to collections including communication, developing specifications, and testing. Receive and prioritize day-to-day input on public web interfaces of tools that access collections. Manage full time assistant. Lead initiatives for gathering user feedback about the L&ET web such as usability testing, surveys, website statistics, and search logs. Liaison to academic department (Communication Studies). Serves on Reference Desk. Makes scholarly and service contributions to the university and the profession.
